A finished wall or roof is harder to assess later. Record the materials during construction. Agree with the adviser which photographs and documents will support the final file.
Where do you start?
Clarify your question before requesting advice or an assessment. Is it about selling or renting, a renovation plan or a technical choice? The intended result determines what information must be recorded and which report suits it.
These details help you move forward.
- Photographs before finishing
- Product sheets
- As-built records and changes
From information to an appropriate approach.
At handover, the materials and systems actually installed must be substantiated. Collect evidence during construction. Design information and the completed building must correspond.
As-built drawings, material details, construction photographs and system declarations. Also record unknown details. An incomplete file need not delay your question, but it helps to explain this beforehand.
What does this mean for your property?
A preliminary design calculation is not the same as the final energy label at handover.
When enquiring, discuss the address, building type and any alterations. For multiple properties or an owners’ association, also identify shared building elements and the contact person.
Ask about your propertyRules and conditions can change. Check the current information for your situation with RVO.
